obligatory pic with Standard Unit of Comparison

That's not a bad result, the leg work you put into it really paid off. Nice mud work, too !! :)

Cheers, Neil

( I didn't realise the Standard Unit of Comparison was a rule......is this a car-thing??? :P )

lol. its actually a running gag on another forum........if someone wants to know how big a model is they ask for a pic of it with a Tamiya paint pot, something everyone the world over is familiar with, therefore 'the Standard Unit of Comparison' :P

You live and you learn, I shall bare it in mind for future reference :)

That's what I'm talkin about.

If I did a rally car, that's what it would look like.

You nailed it.

Nice Mitsu.

That has turned out very well. Nice one.

I believe that the international SUC is a humbrol paint tin as many firms use the same tins and Tamiya paints are not to be found in some countries... ;-)

A great result regardless of the troubles you had with it!

I need to learn how to do mud like that. very good
make up a wash with MiG mud, slap it on but not too much cos it will go a long way, let it dry really well, use a stiff brush to remove most of it, leaves dust in the nook and crannies (works on armour too)............to get the splashes, use a small flat stiff brush, put some of the 'mud' on it and use a finger of the other hand to flick it at the car, just get the direction front to back lol

that car was about 15 minutes work in total, with a couple hours drying time in the middle

I think it's a outstanding build well done Paul big 5***** from me.

Very nice, rally cars and mud, go together like gin and Tonic.
