Hello all, just thought I'd share this with you. I went to a childrens birthday party yesterday. We got a balloon to take home, yay! My daughter popped it in the car, and I confiscated the drooly bits of burst balloon to stop her eating them. Just pulled a bit of it out of my pocket and was idly playing with it, when I had an idea...

I struggle with things like stowage covers as I can't roll out putty thin enough and still be able to work with it. When you scale them up, my stowage covers are nearly an inch thick! The dead balloon sticks really well with normal superglue, you can paint it with acrylics and add creases by nipping it. Sorry for the pictures, only got my phone camera.

Any ideas how to get my superglue out?

How innovative!!! One thing worries me though, why would anyone "idly play with" a "drooly bit" of burst balloon????? Glad you did though, it looks a great idea lol.

great tip tony , you ought to stick it on the unconventional materials thread in 'quick tips' .I think the fact it had been blown up for a while may have made it even better as the rubber would have been stretched and more pliable, not sure if the drool is essential though!!!? cheers tony

Recently quit smoking. Hence fiddle with inanimate objects alot. (no innuendos required)

Ah that explains it, I know what it is like. I quit 3 years ago and I fiddled with anything to take my mind off it. Thankfully the Judge agreed with my defence in that the Police had insufficient evidence but I am still banned from the swimming pool........... (only joking)

Yak Face, I find drool is essential in most of my builds.
