discussion More then One?

I'm about half way through my first model (a 1951 Chevy Bel-Air convert.) one I just picked up to see how much I would enjoy model building as a hobby.I'm enjoying it greatly but I really want to start on my latest purchase (a Letov-s321) I have two questions,do you often work on more then one project at a a time? and do you specialize in a particular type of vehicle or country of origin ?

Answering your first question; I have more than one on the way (maybe I'm the member that I have more builds unfinished... ). It's not a 'bad' thing, a break always come well...

The second one; I still learning, then love to try all type of models (tanks,Sci-fi,small or really big ones, like at 1/6 scale).

The model is indifference, the most important is have fun!!

i rarely have 2 on the go.....sometimes as one heads to completion i will start another........sometimes i will have 2 small projects on the go.........if im doing something a bit more involved i will have somehing else on the go (i did a Sherman a while back, cos i was messing about with slow drying oil paints i got 2 other models done during its build lol ) but i prefer to be able to concentrate just one at a time

space is also a consideration.....i simply dont have the room to have multiple kits on the go. i know people who have maybe a dozen kits on the go at once, i just cant do it, would drive me nuts lol

as for what i build.........as a kid i only built (badly) 1/72 planes and tanks..........when i took up the hobby again a few years ago after a 30+ year break i was only building cars as that is something that interests me in the real world..........nowadays i will build anything!.....even had a go at some 1/35 figures a few months ago and ive always thought that to be the dark side lol

i find different genres require different techniques, which do cross over

as polux said, the important thing is to have fun, no matter what you build

I can have up to 4 on the go at once , i find I can always do something on one of them while the glue or paint dries on another . I do my modelling in an out building at the back of my garage so i suppose the space issue or leaving everything out doesnt matter. As for specialising I have my preferred subject (soviet aircraft ) but like most of us i go off on some pretty surprising tangents now and again! If it takes my fancy then i'll have a bash at it , whether it be a tank ,aircraft,boat ,whatever- Variety is the spice of life! above all do what gives you the most enjoyment ,there are no rules as to whats right or wrong ,as has been said just have fun! cheers tony

I usually do one at a time but at the moment I have three on the go ( two diorama and a mil mi 24 helicopter )

I will build anything but I go in stages , at the moment it's tanks and army vehicles , last month it was helicopters befor that in was battleships I so build things for other people as birthdays and such , I'm mostly interested in WWII but have also made large SF kits so its a mixed bag really
