I made this kit to be given to my father. He's the one who started me modelling many moons ago, and the Mossie is his favourite aircraft.

A nice detailed interior with home made lead wire seat belts.

I decided that I wouldn't paint iot the 'normal' cammo pattern, and upted for the Extra dark sea grey to side with Sky underneath.

I designed the canopy masks using Adobe Illustrator and cut them out on a cutter/plotter using masking film.

Thanks for looking.

To my not so newbie eyes this is impressive, there are some outstanding talented modelers on this site and Graham is one of them. Beautiful build, so lifelike, modelling at its very best.

Wonderful build. If I am ever having a day building & something is not going to plan, I look on here. Inspires me everytime!

Thanks everyone. I must admit that I can't wait to see his face when I present him with the model. :-)

Nice one Graham. I do like a nice mossie and that IS a nice mossie.

Absolutely beautiful and nice to see a slightly different colour scheme. I really like weathering when it isn't used to make it look 'dirty' but is used for no other reason than to make it look 'real'. Your superb finishes and techniques do just that.

You have certainly done justice to a classic aircraft, well done. Cheers Derek

some outstanding work here, really nice build. However, the seatbelts seem as if they are in 1:32 scale. Apart from that, that is really a stunning subject
