Hi,

I've bought a tin of ( Mr Hobby ) Mr Super Clear Matt varnish and I'm confused about the 'nipple' that is moulded into the top, what is it used for.

There is a pictgram on the side of the tin, that's in Japanese but I can't work out what it's trying to achieve.

Regards, Chris.

I could be wrong but it looks to me you remove the normal button top and use the hole on the outside of the lid to decant into the lid.

Looks like that’s for protecting the nozzle tube on the rattle can when you remove the spray nozzle for cleaning.

The first one just asks you to remove the button. The middle one says place 3 - 4 rolled tissues in the cap and secure with tape. The last one says place the can on a flat surface and align the nozzle with the flat in the cap. The caption in the black bar says instructions for using the gas release cap.
My guess is that it refers to de-pressurising the can before recycling.
Pete

Yep, exactly that

Hi all,

Thank you for the replies.

The depressurising of the can before recycling makes sense now.

Regards, Chris.
