Nice job Al, looks great to me. Another that has seen action, look at those soot trails.

Si:)

Don't you ever sleep Alan! It was only

few days ago that you were asking which Spit kit to buy!

Great stuff, I really like this one! Trouble is, now I'm looking at Spitfires on eBay!

Great job alan , good save with the decals cheers tony

Cheers guys I appreciate it :)

This will more than likely be my only spitfire build

Patrick don't bother with a spit , seeing as your into brail scale lately airfix have released a 1/72 hurricane IIc and it looks the dogs Wobblies :)

Lovely job, I don't believe you have sausage fingers, giant or otherwise great work, and so quick.

great job always liked the spit and thats a fine one, just the right amount of weathering,

do like it and well done Alan, ;)

Thanks a lot chaps I appreciate the kind words

This kit really is a 1/72 just bigger so I think four days on a 1/72 is more than ample time :)

Tbh being a professional painter knowing paint science I can do a build in a couple of days , heres a tip , for something that is going to sit on a shelf and not be touched you don't need a primer or undercoat, paint cures at different rates , acrylic will be ready to paint over in two hours and less if you use an excellerant like a hairdryer

This is brush paint acrylic science obviously oils cellulose spray painting takes longer :)

Thanks for the great comments

Great looking Spitfire Alan, nice work. I know the decals are from another set, the under wing roundels look to be the later type. Doesn't detract from an otherwise beautifully finished model though, great build.

joe the under wing ones are actually one on top of the other lol , I had put the ones with the yellow trim on at first them I put the BoB movie on for weathering and noticed I had got them wrong and these were the closest I had so I popped them on top , they should be a little bigger though for 1940 :)
