We recently bought a caravan and are away most weekends, and when I'm not at home I'm at work so I never get chance to do any modelling, so I thought I would create my own little space at work, I've managed to get a couple of hours in today and have started a 1/48 Supermarine Spiteful F XIV, I had forgotten how relaxing modelling can be

And of cause the advantages of owning your own model shop is I have everything I need :)

I'm going to spray this Spiteful silver using the Vallejo metal colour.

A nice little space there John and also nice to see you being able to build some more. But don't deplete the stock too much just in case I need something

Enjoy your quiet time John. It is nice to 'lose oneself' in a build for a little while.

take it easy

Paul

Looking forward to seeing the Spiteful (Probably the first model of this aircraft I have seen!)

Nice to see you back at the bench again after all your hard work getting the shop up and running!

It is amazing how time fly when we build two hours seem like a few minutes when u get in the grove...nice to see a build of you again

You do know guys it means he will have a lovely collection of models all painted superbly, but naff all stock :D

Nice set up there John and building models whilst you work can't be bad and everything that all ever need at you fingertips. Are you going to display you finished ones in the shop window to encourage the punters and if you ever need an assistant I'm your man and will work for modelling tokens;)

and relax, doing what you like, make it sound proof ,

I could do, but as I'm 5 floors up I'm not sure who would see it :D I don't have a "walk round" shop as it's all online, that's why I can sit there modelling without people disturbing me.

This might be a very useful opportunity to 'test' new products and do a little write up on them on line. This could be the start of your very own 'on line' modelling magazine!

I have another site which I started a few years back with that intention but didn't seem to have time to do anything with it, but you are right it is a good opportunity to start that up again.

Looks good John Anything you need just give a call always have the feeling I have more than you :)

In case of compressor breakdown I see you have ensured you have spares at hand

I envy you john, any model you want, any tool you want, actually no I don't as you probably don't have much free time, I remember what it's like to have your own business, won't go there again. Good luck with your haven of tranquility.

John unless it is an embarrassment could we have a few pictures of your place.

Just nice to know when ordering something you can visualize where it is coming form.

I build up mental pictures and find it fascinating.
