I sold the A6M Zero wreck and the crusty Sherman, as part of my 'thinning down'.

I got a lovely message from the person that bought them:

Yes received in great shape, all the models purchased so far have gone to the local ATC who have just started a model group and needed something to inspire them and to show them what can be achieved.

Sharon

I thought WOW!

Well done Si. You cannot get better than that.

I know when my youngest son was over for his wedding a few weeks ago he wandered into my model room.

Looked for a couple of seconds and shouted to hos wife Candy come and look at this.. Does not get better

after all those struggles. People ouside of model making just do not realise how much is given to make a model.

When they do give those sort of reactions it is very nice.

Great stuff SI.

Well done Si! Hopefully that's more young people getting into the hobby.

Well done fella, great looking builds that will hopefully give inspiration to the next generation, really impressive, well done;)

good for you matey not only did they sell but you got a great response from the buyer and you can't ask for any greater praise than inspiration and if it gets just a few youngsters into the hobby then that's fantastic:)

Great job Si, you can't get much better reward than inspiring the next generation .

Nice one Si good to know theyve gone to a good home/ cause. I was surfing the model section on e- bay the other day and saw the zero and recognised it straightaway cheers tony

Great news Si well done. Rust pigment sales will now be going through the roof. :P

Nice one Si, I almost can't wait to balls a plane up and turn it into a diorama. I'm sure that's been done loads of times but as I'm new to the hobby I've only seen you do it and you have planted the seed for me too!

Cheers

Thanks guys, was pleased they sold and I got some cash to throw back into the hobby. But, to find out that they were to used instead of just shelf sitters made my day.

As many of you have said, hopefully one or two may just take up the hobby.

Si:)

Great news Si when I run out of space now since there's no more space in the spares drawer mine will go in the bin. I think due to my new circumstances the mississippi sternwheeler is destined for the bin as is the bruma yacht.

Got to be a way to post them Ken...too good to bin mate.

Good stuff Si. Especially because the models are hopefully inspiring a new generation.

Great work si and both excellent kits, as you say if they inspire others to take up the hobby then that is a good thing.
