My mother Eleanor has sadly passed

Thinking of you and your family at this time of grieving Bob, be comforted that she is in a better place now.

Very sorry Bob.Thinking of you.Sending hugs and love.

Bob,
much sympathy - however much you are expecting the passing, it's always a shock when it finally happens. When my mother died, it was a mixture of sorrow and relief. Sorrow in that she had gone. Relief in that she was in poor health & dementia had robbed her of recognising family.
Time to draw a line, and tidy up the loose ends. It's said that you never accept a passing until you cry, and in my experience it's true

So sorry to hear this Bob. My deepest sympathies to you and Julie. Your Mom's pain and suffering is over and she is in a much better place now. So Admiral, it's time for you two to heal from your pain and suffering...

Really sorry for the sad news Bob.
Being with her until the last moment must have been very sad and painful but that's what good sons do for their parents.

Hi all

Really, really appreciate the huge amount of wonderful comments and condolences. So kind of you all, means a huge amount gents.

As many have said both so sad but a relief. Mum looked so ill recently and had lost so much weight her neighbour who has been abroad was shocked plus of course the pain had started, so her passing has stopped the suffering and pain, for that I am grateful.

Have a appointment to register mum tomorrow then the joy of arranging the funeral. So myself and Julie have been thinking of hymns and music plus the newspaper obituary. Found some lovely photos of mum to use, however got me crying again.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart

Bob and julie

Bob,
sending you and your family our deepest condolences at this difficult time. I went through the same with my mum who also succumbed to vascular dementia. It is although not a nice thing to say it is a relief for everyone when they are at rest. Take care my friend.

Thanks Paul, it is a nice thing to say, it's a huge relief. Too see mum steady getting worse and knowing that nothing could be done was horrifying.

My condolences too mate
Thanks Mark, appreciated

She was very good, I was useless so the lady filled out a form I think called ' let everyone know at once' ??

This is then sent to DWP, blue badge, local council ref council tax, etc. So they stop the pension etc. apparently it helps the probate run a lot smoother

Impressed to be fair
