Well... This planet is called Earth. As for the Plant. I'm not 100% but it could be thyme or it might be heather. I cant hear what he called it, and as its seriously dead it makes it a bit hard to say.

Its that time of year when wives/girlfriends are mad about garden centres maybe you should fold and take a trip out to one....

Not what you are after, but the seed thingies from a Birch tree make great leaf scatter. Just dry them and roll them between your fingers and they fall apart into almost perfect "leafs".
