So first, a tale of the Carpet Monster falsely accused..

I was putting on the tail wheel flaps, put the first on and then couldn't find the second. These are not tiny, so I was sure I would spot it. I moved my chair, the rug, moved everything off the table, picked up the cutting mat. I spent 20 minutes looking for the piece....

and then.....

Obviously, the lessons here are tidiness is a good thing, one piece at a time. Yeah, not going to happen.

I took the masking off the canopy by mistake, and I still have to gloss -> decals -> matt varnish - but I'm pretty sure there are no decals around the canopy so I can just mask the whole thing.

The fun one will be the chief's head. It has two decals: a white one that is just the outline, and a white line that goes around the engine cowling, and then the actual head, which sits on top of and inside the white outline.

And I think the red on the nose might be too narrow. Guess I better check that before actually putting the decal on.

Yes, the decal underneath the tail got messed up, but fixed now.

I decided to add the stores as well, so now it needs the antenna adding, flat varnish and hope the chief's head has sat down with decal set. And of course, a little bit of touching up. I gave up on some of the really small decals but may give them a go too.

It is the muscle car (Transam, Firebird maybe?) to the Mustang as a P51 and a car. Much sleeker and leaner.

Calling this done. I am not doing any weathering on this. I will make a proper close thread when I have better pics so these are just the quick ones.
