Apparently all those characters - Master B..... - and Seaman S.....- Roger the Cabin Boy..... they are all urban legend.
None of them were ever in Captain Pugwash.

That aside - Me as Spack Jarrow a while back....

Maybe we need a Pirate thread....

If we doing a pirate thread I'm hooked,

Awesome, I did post yesterday but the post seems not to have worked. Your a good kind of crazy.

It's great that people are really indulging themselves with cosplay stuff these days, I saw a bunch of folk outside our comic store (a new edition to a dying town centre) in full dress - something that would not be heard of unless a drunken Halloween our stag was on the go. That was pretty cool

Right I've been toying with this for some time now but eventually plucked up the courage to show myself up and ask the question.................... what is Cosplay?

Absolutely correct, they never existed apart from in some very fertile imaginations!

However I did once sail with a very real life captain whose name really was Bates. And we all know that the qualification they take is that of 'Master Mariner' and they should technically always be referred to as the ship's 'Master' not Captain, as that is technically only an Army rank.

Cosplay is just dressing up in fantasy costume for the comic con , basically people who like sertain characters from TV , film and comics , although they call them graphic novels , harmless fun and some of them spend an absolute fortune on them , then you get Simon and his bag in basement attempts :D

I kid mate your stuff is just as good :)

Cheers mate, looks really good with that coat. Not one loads of 'shiny-shiny' like the gruff look.
