Hi all its that time of year again , the newark and lincoln model clubs annual show at Southwell racecourse , Notts Ng25 0qb Its a great show with excellent facilities ( free parking , bar ,snack bar seating area ) just a small charge for entry ( about £2 last year) Theres a very good selection of club stands , traders etc and theres an open competition with a £1 per entry fee. Myself and Ian ( papa 695 ) will be attending as usual , and hopefully Ben (yambam 26) and Katie will make it too . Anyone whos interested in attending please try and come , its a fantastic show and it will be great to put a face to the name . We usually meet up in the seating area about 12 o clock to have a chat and compare purchases! Anyone whos coming please let us know on this thread and we’ll look out for you , cheers tony

Ps. If this looks familiar its cos i cheated and copied and pasted the post from last year !!:tongue-out3:

Registering interest.

Not quite sure how my shift pattern is going to work out yet but if I'm free that day I'll come along.

Will let you know nearer the time (providing the wife gives me a day pass :smiling5: )

Unfortunately I am unable to make it due to work if you can get it moved to the following weekend I have the weekend off lol. Hope you have a great show would love to meet some of the guys.

Just checked the calendar and I'm off that weekend and am 95% ok I should be able to be there. Normally the local shows are on when its my weekend on.

Are there any details regarding this show eg admission price, start time? Thanks.

Sorry paul only just seen this post , the admission is £2 ( well it was last year ) and the times are 10 til 4 . Theres a snackbar and bar plus seating area , its actually held under the grandstand of southwell racecourse so the facilities are excellent . Ill try and get a link put on to the model club website , cheers tony

Thanks for that. I managed to get a message back from the club and your info is right.

I will be there. It will be good to meet fellow members. It's my 1st show as work normally gets in the way. Do you have a certain meeting point and time?

used to be my local show, used to look forward to it every year but since ive moved oop norf its a bit far just for the day,.....although my IPMS Branch is going.....maybe next year

Quick reminder and roll call , the shows tomorrow at southwell racecourse under the grandstand from 10 till 4 . The postcode i gave earlier from the model club site is a bit of a strange one , a better one is NG250TS this will get you to the actual racecourse car park either via the mile long racecourse road from southwell ( turn off upton road onto crew lane then take the first left and follow racecourse road for a straight mile to the end , the car parks on the left at the side of the golf club) or via Rollestone ( over the unmanned level crossing and turn right into the car park ).
So weve got
Me
Ian ( papa 695)
Pete ( stillp)
Ben & Katie ( yambam 26)
Paul ( peej)
And Andy ( paintguy) and John ( Race) as maybes , any more takers ?
We meet up in the seating area at 12 to have a chat and probably a sausage sarnie and see what weve been spending our pocket money on !
Myself and Ian and usually Ben and Katie normally stay til the competition results have been announced which is around Half three to four o clock Heres a pic of me so you know who to look out for ( or avoid !) Cheers tony8028DB08-D13A-4819-BFC3-9878BC86E05F.jpeg

Pretty sure I'll be coming along Tony. Not feeling up to driving a distance yet though so I'll bring the chauffeur/chaperone/bank manager.

If anything she'll stop me blowing a load of cash! :smiling5:
