Hi everyone. I'm a fairly new modeller - not very good but enjoying the process. My main interest is art and I have my own art website and art beginners forum. A couple of years ago, around the 80th anniversary of D-Day I got the urge to build a D-Day Diorama in memory of my Dad, who was there, and my love of modelling was born. I've now made 3 World War II Diorama's, one was a scratch build, and a couple of plastic construction kits the latest being HMS Victory. I've now decided to scratch build a scale model of my last house but stumbled at the first hurdle, which is why I decided it was time to search out some help .... which is why I'm here. I'm looking forward to following what you guys are making and learning a lot along the way. :)

welcome, ask and you will find answers for whatever you need. Good luck and looking forward to seeing what you create

Greetings and welcome mate - show us some of your work when ready! Loads of advice and help available here!

Thank you for the warm welcome. I hadn't thought about posting pics of things I've done as, from what I've seen so far, I'm just not in the same league as you guys. That said, I'm always open to constructive criticism.

Question: I've come across many posts where the pictures only display as thumbnail size. Am I doing something wrong - is there a way to see them at a better size?

It's an image problem that occured when the forum changed to another software a while back, there is still hope it might get fixed some day but it's complicated.

There is still a backup online that has the full size images here :

Thanks for the explanation. Shame about the problem that occurred - as a forum owner I know how frustrating that is. At least now I can stop looking for other display options. :)

Hello Johnners welcome to the forum (y)

It would be good to see your diorama's. I’m sure they are better than you think, we are often our own worst critics.

Geoff.
