The doors are totally convincing Scottie. Those acute powers of observation have come to the fore again. You need to write a book and share your skills with the rest of the world.
Peter, Really glad you like it.

Steve, Thank you mate, I try to re create what I see sometimes it works and other times It is beyond my skills but I keep trying.

Scottie, the doors are excellent and detailed down to the bolts and horse shoe. Love the weathering. You ought to write a book on your techniques as Peter has said. The stone house is looking better with these doors.

Cheers,
Richard

Hi Scottie
Well I reckon that building is superb. The doors are spot on and using the styrene sheet was a good choice.
Jim

You never fail to produce quality buildings, I’m blown away by the doors....blooming marvellous :smiling4:

It is slowly coming along. Added some flashing to the tiles.

Next I have made some guttering from Pewter, metal tube and green stuff. I decided on the green stuff as try as I might I couldn't get the bends right using plastic or metal tubes, boiling water, direct heat and even using small springs as a plumbers spring didn't work.

Not perfect but when painted up and weathered it should look ok.

Thanks for looking.

Hi Scottie
Guttering looks good. Opportunity for some nice staining on the wall from leaks :smiling:
I am another who can't bend metal or styrene tube. Doesn't matter what I do or how much I swear at it it either kinks or springs back out of shape. Using the putty was a very good idea. It has worked well. Is the flashing thin pewter sheet - looks good.

Hi Jim,
Glad you like the guttering, in hind sight I could have tried bending solid styrene an idea for next time. The weathering is always a part I enjoy. he flashing was silver foil from around a chocolate bar.

Not sure what to say but wow! The flashing looks great enough but then you go and trump that with the guttering.

Let us into the secret, you have some miniature helpers there don't you? :smiling5:

Gutters are fantastic Scottie. :thumb2:
