Um, maybe it's time I replaced my filter - never have yet. I just never think about it. Guess I better do it this weekend.

I just searched on evilbay for airbrush spray booth filters and bought a pack of 10 from China for a couple of quid. As Tim said though, you can extend the life of the filter just by washing it, although I wouldn't dare use the washing machine, even if I knew how!

Lol, I know what you mean. I really do appreciate all the advice I've been given though, otherwise I would have been running around like a headless chicken, not knowing what to do! So the very steep learning curve has, thankfully, been smoothed out a bit by all you peeps.

Really I was quite happy painting by brush, and I'm sure I still will be where its required, and in the last 18 to 20 months I have definitely got better at it, and think I can get a reasonable finish on most models now. But.....

You get to a stage where you can see the little imperfections and the limits of brush painting, and I just want to try to get slightly better finishes.
So air brush was the next logical step, a slightly scary and daunting step, but a necessary one I think.

Fairly sure I'll still have loads of questions as I progress, but once again many, many thanx for all the help, encouragement and advice I've already recieved.... cheers
