This may be a stupid question but can you panel wash straight onto paint or must you varnish first. I’m panel washing the interior of a plane.
I’m using acrylic paints (tamiya) with AK paneliner.

Always varnish with satin or gloss. Satin will allow more wash to 'stick' due to the surface being rougher.
