Nice start Ian , ive got a couple of these in the stash , they do look like very nice kits. Got to agree with dave too the sabre was a very handsome aircraft!! Even more do with the colourful schemes they usually had , ive got the 'The Huff ' version , cheers tony

Got the canopy masked and fitted, sprayed it all cockpit colour to check the seams. Going to polish it up now ready for painting

I think you can see the difference in colour and tone. The metal colour is a lot thinner than the other one and as a different smell but as you can see it covers a lot better and looks a lot brighter.

I've never tried vallejo paints at all interested in using the metal finish, I fancy doing another shelby cobra but with a chrome finish to it!


Be interesting to see how shiny it looks. Looking great so far, I'm going to have to get a sabre myself now!


One other thing, is there any restrictions with getting these paints via mail order, just that royal mail seem a bit strange about what they deliver!
