papa 695s Airfix Kingfisher build

These bring back some memories.I remember painting the robins with nice glossy red fronts!!!.Oh the artistry of me aged 10.Watching with interest.
 
Hi Ian, count me in on this one, it looks as old as me :smiling5: good luck blending in though colours on the wings, does it come with the base shown on the box.

This is a blast from the past Ian, not seen one of these kits in years.

Should look awesome when done.
 
Brilliant , cant beat a bit of classic airfix ian . Having made the blue tits and bullfinches as a kid im really tempted to revisit one of these bird kits . Cheers tony

Bit late, as thought It was the name of a plane at first ! :surprised::smiling: and not my real interest.
Should be good, looking fwd to seeing the colour, esp the blue !

These are magnificent birds with colours that shimmer in the bright sunlight. I frequently see them near the house as there is a river and stream close by. The common ones are a strong cobalt blue with red beaks and either yellow or white breasted. The ones here have more pronounced beaks.

Looking forward to see the colours on, Ian.
