From the cyber-hobby.com website: “Die Erzahlung Des Schwarzen Ritters” is a widely acclaimed comic book series, and it is considered to be the best work of the renowned comic artist Motofumi Kobayashi. At the beginning, the fictional story is set on the Eastern Front in the fall of 1943. It portrays the main character, Oberleutnant Ernst von Bauer, and his Wehrmacht unit known as the 8th Tank Company, a formation also called Black Knight.

So it's a fictional unit which I won't be modelling. Instead it'll (probably) be based on the 503rd Panzer Abteilung in Hungary 1945.

More to follow... ;)

Looking good, That's a neat idea with the tape and tracks

Starting to take shape Patrick.
Is the barrel, tracks and pe included in the kit or are they extra ?

Thanks Dave - I used to use masking tape, but I find the electricians tape stretches which helps as you bend it around the wheels.

real nice going on this king so far, vert nice with the tracks, looks good,
the PE,looking nice also,so glad to see you did,not forget the cable to the light,
they never give that one,I added in on my build,;)

Looking good Patrick.
If at all possible, could you take a close up of the plate weld seams? They look to have some nice detail.
Good clean build so far (I'd expect nothing less from your good self!) and I look forward to the camo application and the completed model.

Cheers
P

Reason I ask about the weld seam detail is that I have a Dragon KT with the Zimm applied therefore any plate seams are hidden.
Don't worry if it turns out to be a bit of a hassle. I'm sure a Dragon KT without the Zimm will be part of my stash at some time.

Cheers

I hadn't forgotten about the weld seams Paul! But I was struggling to get a decent picture - smartphone cameras aren't the best at macros ;)

Still hopefully this will come out ok

One thing (of many that I like about Dragon kits is their attention to detail. Not many other manufacturers worry about stuff like this.

If you need any more pics Paul, just let me know.

This really is coming along nicely, looking forward to the next update.

Cheers Tommy! Not an update on the tank, but here's the crew I'm doing. They're from the Dragon self-propelled crew & will hopefully be done in SS autumn pea camo... if I can paint it properly ;)
