Congrats Leo, good thing you entered in the beginners class, some of the vets spotted you left locating pins between the calipers of the pylons...they should be removed if not attaching ordnance. Other areas were the canopy lifting strut and the lack of weathering to the outside of the engine nozzle. They were puzzled why judges missed out on these until informed that this wasn't an advance entry winner. Remember those locating pins for next year.:smiling2:

Thanks John, if you're into local delicasies then you'll love it apart from the weather. If you like the sun, the beach is peppered with lobsters of the foreign kind :tears-of-joy: I don't get why they torture themselves.
No problem...always like to share and also recieve images of other shows.

Cheers,
Richard
Well it seems that I'm just a beginner and nothing compare to the advanced and other builders. 100% pure luck lah bro.... not worthy for a gold lol

Nothing can take that gold from you Leo...be proud of it. Overall I think it was a good build certainly more impressive then the other beginners. The body camo paintwork was the clincher I guess. :thumb2:
Bro...next year bolih enter lagi kan? Looking forward lah to meet you. Any plans for next years build?

Cheers,
Richard

Hi Richard.
Had enough sun when I lived in HK, we would laugh at all the newcomers plastered in calamine lotion.:smiling3:

John, calamine lotion...I remember that pink emulsion which we used to cool prickly heat or measles. Ya, you're supposed to tan and not get cooked. There was a local version that older generation or village women often plaster their faces with. My grand aunts and grandmother used to plaster their cheeks with it, being Burmese that's what they do in Burma.

Thanks guys and enjoy we did indeed.

Jim, prior to the show I had lost weight as remarked by Calvin but I'm sure its been replaced since. :tears-of-joy:
Fernando, the Tomcat is the long awaited 1/48 AMK kit. On seeing the sprue and molds, many were intending to trade in their Tammi kits for the AMK. I'm not a fan of Tomcats but I was nearly tempted.
Steve, I'm ok with the plane results as it was tough competition. For the little ugly fella I'm happy it turned out a swan. The D-Day display was inspiring and we're already thinking next years themes.

Cheers,
Richard

Fernando, I just remembered I got invited to sign on the test build at Malcom. If you check AMK's FB you'll see on the left swing wing root, a dark blob starting with an R. The felt pen was too thick but anyway nice to be on the most valuable Tomcat test build kit. This is the link.

Cheers,
Richard

Hi,
The only thing I bought were ZLPLA resin figures. They were well casted and affordable at 40% discount meaning they were RM35 for the 1/35th scale figures. Bought three and recieved another for free. At the end of the show it was selling at buy one get one free. Here they are...

I got Gina for free.

I got them to put with my single tank displays...couldn't find one in German gear.

The 1/24th scale ones were awesome but didn't have anything to match them with.

Cheers,
Richard
