Newish returnee after 40 year break, never been to a show this ones not to far at 32 miles, what's it likely to be like? plenty to see?
Hi Mark.
The previous shows run by the Peterborough crowd have been good. It was only because the school that allowed the show to take placed decided to end it. Since then the show failed to find a new venue, but this is quite a large school so should be ok .What you would see is several areas showing clubs displays, always a good mix of types from planes, figures , ships ,armour to more modern stuff . An area with numerous traders , some with show offers . There's always an area for tea , coffee and bacon butties . Well worth the trip of 32 miles I would think , you'll certainly meet some of the members of the forum there .
Hope you will come . I'll pm you my phone no .

There's a show at Stamford Welland Academy, PE9 1HE, on 3rd March.
Anyone going? I'm not sure yet, it's about 50 miles from my home.
Pete

Pete,
I will be going along with my local club. Peterborough always put on a good show but this is a new venue.

Possibly! Look forward to putting faces to names if I make it.
Steve

Will be a good venue, largish school .Up the top end of town .
I will be there hopefully with Mike .
Looking fwd to meeting Paul again .Hopefully others like Pete will come .
Hi John.
I might pop along as well.Be a meeting of the rabble it seems.Be good to see you and Paul and any of the others.
Rich
Richard, there will be no rabble there untill JR, scottie and myself arrive.
John leave the car in the garage, we can go in mine, you can direct and we can get lost together....
And as for you others, hope to see you there, it will be great to meet you, I will be the handsome one with hair....

Hi all

Apologies for not being around much recently, work is taking it out of me.

My club also has a table at this event and I'm hoping to be there too, so will be good to catch-up

Look out for the below banner!

Hope to see you there.

Andrew

Is there vehicle parking in the school grounds? If not, where?
Steve
The flyer I picked up at the Shuttleworth show states "Free off-street car park", but looking on Google Earth there don't seem to be as many spaces as there are at, for example, St Ives.

We could turn it into the SMF religious gathering... People praying we behave....

Will there be tambourines and group singing ?
We could all turn up like a coven of 70 year old hippies, back in the 60's they were all smoooooth to the touch, smelled of flowers and hay.... Today they all look like screwed up old street maps and smell of rubbing oil and Deep Heat.....

Just to say my really good to see Mike, Scottie, Pete and John today. A good show. Nice size and and plenty of trade stands too.

Andrew

Hi from the show. The new venue seemed to work fairly well given that it was a bit of a maze between the halls but Peterborugh Model club did well in finding a venue after loosing there previous location. It was well attended by clubs, vendors and the general public. Met up with John R, Mike, Andrew and Peter who did their best to lower the tone of the proceedings. Sorry I didn't take any pictures but I think John took a few.
