I had a great day out Sunday and I have taken a lot of photos that may interest you.

just about the first thing we see is the imposing sight of a Short Sunderland...now come on HKM what about your new 1/48 range, you know it makes sense....

It is easier on the iPad to do this as a series of shorter posts than try to do them all in one..... more very soon....

Here is the Mk 1 Spitty rescued from a beach in Calais and now in flying condition, we so need a decent Mk 1 in 1/32, how about ICM for that?

One more perfect for HKM but in their traditional 1/32 range... The Blenheim though I would prefer the later long nose version.

A nice view of the Lancaster from above, ready for the HKM Nose Art edition....or....

Better let the US in on the Phantom act, the Zoukei Mura 1/48 is a goody for this.

Is that Aotake I see.... the Zero cockpit section. The Tamiya 1/32 Zero is as close to the perfect Zero kit that you can get.

Now, after that Spey Phantom we really need one of these in 1/32 alongside it, a Buccaneer

Barry

Thanks so much for posting these. A friend of I were planning to go in the early Spring and then lockdown hit.

I'm assuming you had to pre-book tickets? Was it busy and how much impact did social distancing measures impact the experience? It's well over 35 years since I last went, so I'm long overdue a trip!

All the best.

Andrew

Yes, prebooked time for arrival. Distancing no problem as lots of space and masks must be worn inside so get a comfortable one...

Great shots. Always wanted to go, but have never yet got there.....
I’ve seen a few of these in the air over the years though, my favourites of the larger aircraft being the Catalina and the Blenheim. Always like seeing a Sally B though, or Memphis Belle as she used to be on the other side....
