Pjs airfix 1/24 spitfire

Hi Pj I got your direct message, but I will post my reply here so others can chip in with help.

As it is water based acrylic, you can soak it in Dettol, Isopropyl Alcohol or for stubborn paint in an ammonia-based cleaning liquid like window cleaner. Then simply scrub the paint off.

You mentioned that you used MLT, by that I take it you mean Mr Levelling Thinner? Surprised that didn't take more than the paint off. It isn't compatible with water based paints, hence your paint went stringy.
