I wondered what had happened to these Tony! They look great, excellent painting, you could hardly tell their 1/72!

Patrick

I was watching up to the "nose job" and then missed the rest.

Glad to see all turned out well, and what great builds.

Are there any more pictures.

Tony.

Some great work there Tony, looking very good so far, nearly there now.

thanks tony , i'll be posting some finished pics when ive got the canopy masking off and added the fragile bits and a bit of weathering/control surface highlighting, hopefully later today , cheers tony

A very interesting subject Tony, and a great read .....excellent work on the kits mate....not to sound greedy but is there anymore pics.

Just like buses, you wait ages for a luftwaffe secret project to turn up ,then 3 turn up at once!! As you may have guessed ive finished these "quick" little builds! The cold weather and a broken shed heater have made these builds a bit longer than i planned but i finally made it. heres a few pics , ill be putting a few more on a 'finished' thread cheers tony

Thanks very much for such a great thread Tony, I've really enjoyed watching you make these, the nose recovery was a triumph that plane was way past the point when I would have binned it, really interesting subject. Great stuff. M

Thanks alot michael , i nearly DID bin it, but thought what the hell, i'll give it a go ive got nothing to lose! I'll always be a bit wary of using a lot of superglue again though !! cheers tony

The russians always denied any influence patrick , but it does have the look doesnt it? One aircraft that did benefit from the data on the ta 183 was the saab j29 tunnan , especially the wing shape. The ta 183 was developed by Kurt Tank after the war in Argentina, producing four prototype aircraft built by FMA and called the Pulqui (arrow) They were very similar in layout, just the wing being moved to the shoulder position, but never got further than testing and i think 2 were lost in crashes. I reckon the me 1111 looks like the Dh 108 swallow too! cheers tony
Dear,

the Pulqui II is produced in 1/72 by "1982 Models", you can see it:
