Hi all I was thinking this is getting very heavy and the exhaust is getting loose from the weight of it so I’ve temporarily added the forks to get the weight off the exhaust. I’ve finally finished the handle bars (well apart from the wiring)

Hi all this is how Pocher would have you build the rad

Of course I could just fill the holes and weather it and it would be a whole lot better
But with Ron Clark’s PE it will be a whole league better I just can’t wait for them to get here.

I always thought that Pocher kits where the Uber kits of the model builders dreams. Looking at this one I would say more a nightmare. For the price tag, I would expect things to be almost perfect out the box, without having to fork out more money on extras.
You are though making a great job of beating this into shape.

Great work, but I agree with you ken that radiator looks sh*t can't wait to see new radiator.

Ian Pocher are known for their bad fit and wrong details but they do make a great basis for a super detailed build the classic rolls Royce, Fiat or Bugatti quite often take 3 yrs to build (the early Mercedes had all the internals for the engine gearbox and differential.

My understanding, apart from the dodgy radiator, is that it was sort of expected that you had a large collection of M2 screws and such at home to use in the build?
I do agree with you John that it's a bit steep to have to fork out more money after paying £650 for a kit!?! It's almost like the real deal... :tongue-out3:

Only if you want to detail it up tbh they go to all the trouble of moulding most of the electrical connectors and channels for them to run through but supply no wire. I mean how much would an assortment of wire cost them, you have to drill out all the holes and try and find some suitable wires for them, incidentally I got it for 480 quid from jadlam models which is still pricey but it is a lot of kit.

Hi all well I’ve added a few more missing wires and added the cable for the exhaust valve (fuse wire)weathered the rad a bit I’d like to say nearing the end now but no still a long way to go

Hi all here is the next update I made a bit of an oops in duplicating the wiring of the rad fan which I had done the other end further back in the build will have to watch that in the future (especially as this build is using all my built up stocks of wire)

Got the front wheel on (man this thing is enormous)

Hi all here is an update where nothing has been done. It's just that since the front wheel is now on I can compare and show just what a beast this is these range in scale from the humongous Duc at 1/4 then the Katana at 1/6 the Kwak at 1/8 and the Yam at 1/12 these all have similar size engines so they're all about the same size in real life.

I knew it was quarter scale but I didn't think it was that big?!?!

It's almost as big as those mini motorcycles that were popular in the 90's... I still have a dodgy knee after a wipeout on one of those...
...but it was fun while it lasted

You've done a cracking job so far and if you didn't know you'd think it was the real deal on your photos!

Hi all next update been adding the break lines and front mudguard then onto the electrical bits, it would be so much easier if I hadn't started adding detail, this is going to be the most intensive added details bit.

And the dreaded electric panel (this is just the beginning and only one side)
