hi

does anyone know if there's a kit for the Puma? I went up in one at RAF Odiham years ago when I was stationed there, so would quite like a model.

cheers

they do?

thanks Dave.. pity it's Airfix though.. you need to be a good modeller to make their kits properly :)

Hi mark , as well as the airfix (which isnt too bad ive heard) Matchbox did a 1/32 kit too. I think revell re-issued it a few years back too, you can occasionally find them on e-bay . heres a link to an article on it , cheers tony Matchbox 1/32nd Puma p.s revell also did a 1/144 kit in gulf war or tiger meet boxings

I thought that the Puma airfix kit was out of production for some time now. I am also looking for one or two but here in SA you are more likely to get the lotto first!

Failing the airfix kit look at the 1/72 Heller super Puma/cougar. I think they are still available.

Hannants have currently got 6 Heller kits in stock priced at £11.99 each. This kit is the Heller issue of the Aerospatiale AS-332 super Puma mk1.I believe this is the same kit Airfix used to sell.

Hi Mark. Tony's right. Revell did do a 1/32 SA330 Puma and it does come up on ebay from time to time (nothing at the moment though).

I strongly suspect that Dave is right too about the Heller and Airfix kits being the same. Weren't the two companies merged at some time?

The airfix kit was a SA 330 , the heller one is a Sa 332 super puma , a quite different machine, having a differently shaped ,slightly larger body and different engines. I dont know if heller ever did a 330 version , its possible ,as dave rightly says heller and airfix were both owned by humbrol at one time and various kits appeared under each others branding. cheers tony

great help guys, thanks. I think it was the 330 that the RAF used at the time I'm referring to (1976/77) so that would be my preference, for nostalgia's sake :)
