Had a go at putting some casting on the turret with two pack thinners, but i tried it on some scrap which didn't look to bad. I worked in small areas as this thinners melts the plastic and just stippled with an old brush, the only reason i used two pack thinners is because i didn't have any Mr Surfacer. I put paint in the thinners too so you (and me) can see the cast.

Have fun, John

Interior looks pretty much the same through the T 34 series, it's good how much these Hobbyboss lads can cram in there... Looking good so far matey

Talkin' about cramming stuff in

The turret it together and looking good, was a pain to hold three or four parts but i got there in the end. Now it's looking like a tank, the gun breech is a model in it's self, just a shame it's inside the turret. Next on the hit list are the tracks, i'm still waiting for the figures but thats my fault, i havn't ordered them yet.

That looks excellent John, the turret interior is fabulous.

I'm using your progress as a spur to get me moving on my T-34!

Cheers

Paul

First i'd like to thank John for all his hard work he has done to get the forum back up and running, if it wasn't for you we wouldn't be here

Right, had a few problems with the tracks on one side, Hobby Boss supplie two jigs for the sprockets only thing is when the built up tracks was fitted to mine they didn't fit right. It looked like there was a link missing, good job there's some spare links. I built the other side on the tank and it worked nicely. The turret is getting there too, just had to show it off lol. if i can get the hull like the turret i'll be happy.

Hi John

That T-34 85 looks the biz! I really like the wheels - great weathering. It's a shame about that track length but once on a scenic base no one's going to notice it at all. These 1/48 kits are incredible especially when finished like this. Keep up the good work.

Paul

Your doing a great job there john, as you say if the hull turns out like that turret then your in business

Cheers for the gentle prod in the direction of this great build John!!

How you manage the level of skill involved with these 1/48 interiors is to be much admired. I had a job and a half getting my 1/35 Tiger 1 innards something like, so top marks my friend...

Although you might not all the time with this T-34, try having fun! lol

Ron
