almost all i find on these forums are kits. is there any place for scratch built models?

I love to do both.

You can post scratch built models in any of the sections Bob, as most of the scratch builders do.

There is even a special section for scratch builds although it has not been used that much. I think people just prefer to post in the "normal" sections.

We have a few guys on here that only scratch build.

The last I can recall was a scratch built 1/72 scale German cyclist being chased by some dogs!!!

I'll be up for chatting about scratch built stuff, do a lot of it myself in diorama form but have built a 1/35 crabboat, the prometheus (in progress still) and a few other odds and sods.

Have an urge to go for a 1/12 balsa "wright brothers" aircraft next.

I also scratch build a lot of stuff, nearly all my models end up being at least half scratch build.

woukd be nive to hear and see some of your scratch build projects.
