Hi

Yes, Pumas are as much of the panzer unit as any Tiger or Panther (although self propelled artillery crews had slightly different uniforms).

As far as rank goes, I don't think there is a set rank for a commander as rank would depend on promotion and not what vehicle you drove. But I think a typical rank would range from Unterscharfuhrer to Obersturmfuhrer in the SS and Leutnant to Hauptmann in the regular army.

puma crews wore the same as panzer crews black, self propelled gun crews wore feild grey.

As for rank that depended on promotion.
