I usually use Tamiya for my kits but they don't do a 1/35th Firefly and the reviews of their 1/48th Sea Harrier are not encouraging. Can anyone recommend a good quality version of either of these? (ideally falklands/post falklands FRS1)

Hello,

Sorry I can’t help with specific kits but I was wondering if you were aware of https://www.scalemates.com/

You can find all of the various 1/48 Sea Harrier or 1/35 Firefly’s or any kit ever tooled really listed plus links to sellers and usually reviews of said kits.

Excuse me if you know about the site, I’m not meaning to be condescending I thought it might help you narrow it down a bit 👍

Cheers,

Geoff.

Hi.Kinetic seems only option for U.K ones.Ive seen some nice models of them at Model shows. As for Fireflies well you have Tasca/Asuka,Ryefield models and Hobby 2000 which is the RFM reboxed.Dragon firefly kits arent bad except the first 2 boxings which need a lot of TLC.The Dragon 1c firefly isnt a bad kit(Composite/hybrid hull),The welded hull 1c is a good kit and only one in 1.35th,It uses the Dragon Sherman m4 welded hull kit which can make a nice British Sherman 1 with turret change.Im into my U.K Shermans and hope to do a few including North irish horse from Italian campaign.
Happy modelling.
