Sometime in the future I'll be building a 1:32 Revell Red Arrows hawk. My question is, what paint to use. Humbrol H238 enamel isn't available, well I've had no luck finding it.. There is a water based acrylic available which I'm not to keen on.
So, have you painted a Red arrows Hawk ? If so, what colour did you settle on ?

Hi Colin, did a Red Arrows ‘What if’ a few years ago and used Xtracolor Red Arrows Red, X014, it’s an enamel so not to everyone’s taste, but a good match.IMG_1323.webp

I used Revell 31 enamel red Colin. That was the one shown in the instructions.

I have just checked Colin. Yes definately 31 Fiery Red Gloss shown on my instructions and it works well. It looks like the colour shown on yours is the same color just in SilkMatt finish which is unusual for a Red Arrow.
