discussion Removing a panel

Hi all;

Anyone got a good way to remove a panel from a model? I want to make a refuelling diorama, so want to cut out one of the circular fuel filler caps - oh, and I want to keep the removed bit to place on the wing!

The removed bit will be much too thick. Drill the part out and punch the circular cap from a piece of suitable plastic card.

You want a panel removed? Ask a rigger. The fairies and DF's in AMF at Kinloss couldn't be trusted to do something that difficult!

It's the same in civil aviation.Avionics don't like taking panels off.Us B1's usually do it for them.Seriously though,Steves idea is your best bet.
