discussion Renault 5 Alpine

wasnt sure what to do next........decided on this, picked it up recently for a tenner

according to a guru who knows better than me they were normally in black......i hate black so im currently thinking gold or maybe silver since the go faster stripes are in red so would look good against these colours, but we shall see when the time comes lol

Looks great paul . Many moons ago (1982) for my first job after leaving school I worked as an apprentice paint sprayer at a garage that was a Renault franchise . Renault did a special edition 5 called the Gordini (they did a few Gordini versions , the R8 ,R12 and R 17) it had these 'train wheel' style alloys and usually was a metallic blue , similar to the Alpine a 110 colour (although they did do it in black as well but never seemed to see any , maybe they charged extra for black ? a lot of car companies used to back then) So my vote is for metallic blue! cheers tony

Nice looking kit. I think Tony's suggestion of a metallic blue would look awesome.

only problem is is the go-faster stripes are in red........dont think they would look nice on blue paint......why im leaning towards silver
