a vacation in Italy is always a good choice if you are not looking for a model shop. :tongue-out3:

I’ll take your word for it — I’ve spent maybe thirty minutes of my life in Italy (And no, it wasn’t at an airport, as most people think when I say this )

Wonderful improvements on the engine. Even if not totally accurate it certainly looks accurate.

So after a long long long break I have in a week bought a new one of these as spares and basically with the exception of weathering it completed it.

I made the new nose out of a glue bottle top and wooden kebab skewer and the extra detail on the tail gin out of plasticard.

Few more pics, pre shading doesn’t show very well in the pics and it’s also just been blitzed with Mr Super Clear high gloss for weathering.

Still progressing slowly. Somewhat hampered by ordering extras which on eBay state they will be delivered in 3 days and 10 days later still aren’t here.

So gloss varnished and a black/brown mix oil wash applied.

After oil wash completed 3 coats of Matt clear coat.
Just waiting for side winders to arrive and will then add them and also add all the “remove before flights” tags and also add some engine intake covers I have made.

Finally completed with air to air configuration, just the base to go.
