A few years ago my wife Kerry bought me a flight in a Stearman, over the foothills of the Rockies on a beautiful Autumn day, and I've wanted to build a model of one since. I can't say enough good things about the Revell kit – almost perfect fit, great detail and at an amazing price. Decals are a mix of Caracal and the kit's. Rigged with stainless steel wire.

This is really nice. Again your paint seems flawless, how do you avoid the 'devil of dust'.........

Superbly done mike as always . A beautiful build and crisp clean photography. This looks like a very nice kit , lovely detail on the interior , cheers tony

That rigging!!!:eek::confused::cool::cool: Amazing,cool build, bud!!:cool::cool:

Lovely kit!!

What thickness SS wire did you use? I'm looking to do the same on my future 1/48 DH2...

Smooth work...very fine!!

I love your pics Mike....but then you realize that's a kit....

One day, you "should" try outdoor photography...then will be impossible to know if is it a real model ;)

Cheers Colin. I'm spraying acrylics thinned with lacquer thinner, and straight lacquer paints, which are almost dry the second they hit the plastic so there's virtually no time for dust to settle into wet paint.

Thanks Gavin, it's .001" wire.

Thanks Polux. I live in Canada. It's winter. I'll stick with indoor photography for now ;) But maybe in summer I'll give it a try. View attachment 239162

Wow Mike, that's a beauty! I love the rigging. The pristine look is a refreshing change in a world where most builds are weathered, and is just right for this subject.

Superb work Mike, looks as if it just came out of the paint shop. Derek

Very nicely done, as Doug said the lack of weathering just looks so right on this one

Cheers
