Hi All,

Here is my finished Revell 1/72 bf109-G10. It's the first model I've completed in a few years.

First time I've attempted a Luftwaffe mottle also scribing.

All in all I'm happy with it, though it could always have turned out better.

Please feel free to comment! All feedback is welcome.

Thanks

David

A well-weathered and beaten looking 109 David. Very well done, a great re-entry into modelling!

Excellent 109 David, and weathered just right, what a cracker.

A really nice Gustav David! I like the well-worn look - I'm building the same kit, so I hope mine turns out as well as yours.

Cheers

Thank you all for the positive feedback.

Back to the bench in the morning!

I hope this gets my building mojo back! (I've four kits started, I need to finish them.)

Nice return to modelling. And there you are standing at the top of a slippy slope into 'model world'...................

This looks really good David. I like the interesting colour scheme and the beaten-up look - just right for the period. The spiral on the spinner is really tricky to get right and this one looks perfect.

Looks great, nice and subtle touches and very good finish

David its really amazing the paint and weathering you've done,it really looks great and at 1/72 scale even more impressive! I would only critique the thickness of the aerial wires, just a tad too thick imho. Hope to see many more of your builds in the future as you get your mojo back, very nicely done Sir!

Great weathering David looks like its seen a few Dog Fights,

Maybe the Mottling effect is a bit low along the fuselage & would look better if a bit higher, but that is just my thinking... Still a Great job.

Many thank's everyone!

Yes, treyzx10r, the aerial wire is a tad thick on the horizontal. That is the first time I've tried the stretched sprue method. When I painted it it seemed to accentuate it.

Had real fun and games getting it to stick too!

I am also not sure about 'airbrushing Humbrol Clear'. It didn't seem to self level very well! When I used Microsol/Set it gave a smeared look on the spinner. Maybe the gloss cote wasn't thick enough?

Has anyone else got any opinions on this? I think it goes down better with the brush.
