Hi guys!!!

Here is another "Turk" comes directly from my workbench. It's Revell's (Hasegawa's) Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc in 1/48 scale.

Hawker Hurricanes were operated by the Turkish Air Force between 1939 and 1947, for much of this time alongside Spitfires and Fw 190s. A total of 164 Hurricanes were used before being replaced by P-47D Thunderbolts. Approximately 35 Mk.Is were delivered, followed from 1942 onwards by 38 Mk. IIBs and 91 Mk.IICs; at least some of the latter came from RAF Maintenance Units in the Middle East.

Hurricane Mk.IIC, ‘HV608’. Almost certainly one of the ex-RAF machines supplied from the Middle East, ‘HV608’ carried its original RAF serial and was finished in Dark Earth and Middle Stone over Azure Blue.

Cheers

Stefan:)

Nice Hurricane, love the paint job and the base! Well done mate

Great Build,,, ooppps What I mean is well done. You've highlighted the detail really well. Top class. Stefan, did the Turkish air force really fly Spitfires and 190's along side each other ?

"Gr8 build"

Paintwork looks well done and the weathering etc... Looks nice and subtle

Now that is the panel line look I was after. A great build and this is the standard I am aiming towards - if I ever reach it II'll be elated.

That's really nice, Stefan. It's a very original subject and neatly built, too. I particularly like the worn paintwork around the wing roots - how did you do that?

It's interesting what different types of aircraft the turkish air force flew. And it's so strange to see Hurricanes, 190's and Spitfires flying "peaceful" together in the 1940's while in the rest of europe these aircrafts fought as enemies.

Doug, this is silver color. Dabbed on with a small sponge.

:)

Great looking build ... something refreshing, hardly see people building Turkish Hurricane
