I'm a bit disappointed in the finish I've put on this and the decal instructions didn't help but it's not the worst I've built and it ticks off another British Cold War jet from the list

The kit is the old Matchbox release so I wasn't expecting any real detail and was an easy kit to build with no real problems , I did have to jury rid some of the decals to get them into place and I did miss quite I few tiny ones as you can't see them unless your real looking for them

Thanks folks I'm glad you like it but the photos do hide some bad points :)

Looking good to me Alan!! Like the decal work as well ;)

Another beauty for your collection :)

Looks really good Alan.My LHS has a few Airfix 1/48 Canberra's in stock.Might just have to get one.

Cheers dave I'm pleased you like it , I've had the same idea about the 1/48 :) I've just had my LHS put the new 1/48 mossie aside until next week

Think it looks a cracker Al. I know that photo's don't always show the 'warts & all' but it looks great to me, would be well happy to have that. In fact I have a part made one, painted silver, just chucked back into the box...just cannot face it.

Thanks folks for the kind words :)

Si I'm determined to get my aircraft as good as my vehicles , I don't know why but I can't seem to get the hang of it :(

Dig it out mate and have a pop at it :) I wouldn't bother with all the decals as you can't see 90% of them beyond five feet so it seems a bit pointless to put em on :)

Tell me about it...I have better results in cementing pebbles to a brick than I do with aircraft...o_O

I think it will stay boxed for know. or wrecked... :D

Si:)

That looks great Alan. All those stencils can indeed be a real pest; I doubt anyone will notice a few tiny missing ones, in the same vein as Steve commented in another thread, that it is highly unlikely that anyone would have a protractor and measure the dihedral of the wings. You've done a great job, that will look good in your Cold War jet collection.

very nice

got one of those in the stash and i keep putting it off cos i find aircraft so hard

Cheers Paul , this kit is really easy Paul and goes together quite well , there's a little bit of filling on the tail and if you tape the wings and fuselage together once you've glued them you just need to rub down the seems , all the detail is raided so all you can do it paint it really , I looked at some images and in real life it was a smooth aircraft so it's a nice simple paint job :)
