Yes I have used them Dave & they are very good. Best I have found so far.
They come with separate heads torso & arms so you can manipulate as the detail requires.Officers ground crew AFS. A dog.
Step ladders with a trestle & air cylinders & trolley & cylinders. Also some contraption for I suppose hanging engines on.
You can mix & match & the instructions are large scale & superb. All the colours of each item are listed on the illustrations. The parts themselves are very well detailed with definite lines of demarcation between clothing & skin etc.

I am looking at getting the 1/72 set and also the 1/72 Luftwaffe set. Reviews of Revell's personnel sets seem to be positive, they have even made a few pilots which are shorter than normal so they can fit into various aircraft easily.

Also got the 1/72 Joe & they are as equally good as the 1/48. Hell of a lot of figures as well.

Interesting philosophy Laurie.I subscribe to the belief that we are all of us, somewhat mad. Not trying to be offensive in any way to the chaps here. When you think about it though, we all see the world through our own eyes with our own perceptions. Not a problem at all Aidan.
It was a bit of fun. In some ways it was a pat on the back to those who produce dioramas. What has amazed me is the number of people who are model making all over the world & the number of manufacturers & shops supplying models & materials.

Yes I long to do a dio. I have a vision of a plane with the cowlings off and a very detailed engine with workmen swarming all over it. But my skills are nowhere near good enough for that.\ said:

Hi Aidan just give it a go i didn't do diorama's untill i joined the forum but watching these on here and using the tips they have posted i had a go and don't think they turned out too bad and had great fun in the process

The Revell RAF Figures are just a reboxing of the ICM figures which have appeared in many RAF dioramas on this and other sites, in fact I used them on my BoB diorama a couple of years ago... pause while I search for the link... bugger can't find it so here are photos instead...

In these photos, the step ladder, workbench trolley with cylinders and most of the figures (except the one with the oil can on the spitfire wing and the one behind the workbench) are from this set.
My opinion is that they are great - well moulded, interesting poses and come with a host of tools and diorama extras. The dog is great

Andrew is that an RAF vehicle in your diorama ?
Tried to find one for the shelves I display my aircraft on but could not find one. Need is for the 1/72 shelf & the 1/48 shelf.

The vehicle is indeed an RAF issue Standard Tilly. Its a resin kit from Accurate Armour. The RAF markings for the Austin Tilly that come with the Tamiya kit in 1:48 are incorrect - the RAF didn't use Austin Tillys but used Standard and Hillmans. Tamiya used a restored Austin Tilly as the template which had been restored into RAF colours. Thing is, even the colour is wrong for most of WWII - RAF Tillys were only RAF Blue until very early in 1940. After that they were green or "Micky Mouse" camo colours.
