Hi All, well I've finished it. This was a joy to build even the rigging was easy to do, Graham the thread was a cotton type supplied with the kit which does not stretch like the E-Z line you was talking about, but it does look like good product for future use. I will try and post some photos but not to good at this yet, so be patient with me please and I hope you like the finished model.

One of the figures looks a bit grubby but he might be a grease monkey.

Hi Colin,

I like the plane a lot. I'm no WWI expert (I'm no expert at anything now I come to think of it!) so I can't comment on the gloss finish on it, but I might suggest giving your figures a coat of matt varnish. That would help make them look more realistic and less 'model' like.

Thanks for the tip Gern will need to get some matt varnish and try it out. I use the new Klear product all the time.

Another useless tip is to dip some cotton thread in the paint and dry straight, cut to length and apply with normal cement. this has the affect of firming the thread up making it much better to work with.
