Thanks Paul, I'll be over the hump once I get the interior finished up and then I can focus on the "normal" stuff to get it to the paint stage.

You guys that work in that scale never cease to amaze me, wonderful job going on there.

Andy.

You Guys are cracking me up!!......Yeah, I'm crazy but it's so much fun trying to improve these little kits. It's awfully "plain Jane" if you look at the basic kit destruction sheet, I'm just trying to breathe a little life into an otherwise mundane model.........."now, connect the leads to the electrodes Igor"!.......

Hi Scotty. thanks mate...just trying to make 'er look respectable! Glad you stopped by.

Thanks Andy, it means a lot. So far I have had no second thoughts about working in this scale. It's very challenging and the payoff is huge when things turn out right. ;)

I gotta say that's some fine innards you made there, Rick! Don't worry about the stretcher frames Bro, just think 'sturdy', as you can't get Evergreen or Plastistruct in any smaller size. They look just fine. Have you started making surfboards for the roof rack yet??? should hold about 8-10, if my math is correct.....

Prost
Allen

Surf Boards are on back order! Thanks for stopping by Allen, now that you have your prop out of the way, maybe you can show me how you did the wood grain so I can apply that technique to the sides of my "woody" Ambulance!! :tongue-out3: :tongue-out2::tongue-out::cool::thumb2:

Crew bench is in and once the glue sets I'll carefully sand down the stubs of the legs that are poking through the bench top. The last piece to go in will be the stretcher rack on the bulkhead, in the stowed position, behind the bench. Still need to locate the front and rear axles and fill and louvre the side panels on the hood. as well as a few other small exterior details.P1012700.JPG

Not much to report, just working on the railing for the roof rack. I have all the easy steps done, now it is a matter of bringing it all together at the back end. Once I have it glued in place, I can carefully fill the joints and sand it to its final configuration. The photo, (for ref. only) shows what I am aiming for in the completed detail. I know this is a little bulky but it's the closest I could come and it even has the fore and aft curved top to the railing. P1012702.JPGP1012703.JPG

Wow Rick , working on the internals in that scale is incredible.
Most impressed.

Thanks John, just trying to get it "close" to the real thing. Helps me sleep better at night! ;)

Wow! That is some seriously impressive detailing work you are doing!

Well, last week was kind of chilly, but this week we have busted out the heat, in the 80’s this week. Funny cuz some of the bigger lakes still have weather advisories for cold water temps, some still in the 50’s. Otherwise pretty nice though.

Thanks for the update. :thumb2:
Just leaving our daughter’s in Manchester, 91 deg. Hour ride home, then immeadetly off to work. Which is gonna suck cuz they are moving some new machines into the shop and the ginormous door will be open all day so will be hotter than heck inside
