Hi Paul, I couldn't agree more......The LF8 caught my eye many years ago, wish I had bought more than two but even back then they were over $10.00 each. when Herpa brought out the type 40 and the 108 I was all over them.....bought several of each, not just because they were badly needed for infantry vehicles but because they were so darn well engineered. I hated to cut them up, but I'm sure I can find a use for the remnants. Thanks for coming by. Rick H.

Yeah they are, I've used the LF8s for funkers, & ambulances. The water pump trailer they come with can also be a converted to a genny or compressor as well as the water pump inside. The 108s convert easily to funkers, ambulances, & AA Sps. They are really the only decent heavy cars I can afford. PaulE
Progress is slow on this......finished mating the front fenders to the body work and filled gaps at front and rear wheel wells as well as a couple of non1500 body indentations that were unique to the Horch coachwork. I flattened the top of the cowl to mate up to the universal windscreen. looks like I'm going to have to modify the soft top to mate up with the windscreen once it is in its final location. And fitted the front bumper....presently, I'm working on relocating the exhaust pipe. Rick H.

I've observed MB versions of the 108 & haven't been able to figure out how they fueled them as they don't have the filler spouts of the Horch. PaulE

Hi Lee.........I just couldn't help my self!! Sorry if I offended you, Just couldn't pass up an opportunity like that. Yeah, That darn Scottie Dude got me all fired up and I just had to see if I could build one of these heavy cars. So far, it seems to be going fairly well so keep your fingers crossed. Here is the latest and it isn't much.........managed to finish up the tail pipe and got some diamond plate on the floor boards. The L 1500 frame had to be sanded down on the top side as it was too tall for the body work and made the vehicle look like it was in the clouds. I wanted the FWD look but not a Monster truck altitude! Next up will be the firewall, dash and windscreen. Rick H.
