After reading good reports about Rosemary Brushes for fine work on here, on the 26/02/21 I ordered 4 brushes and they arrived on the 27/02/21 less than 24 hours later. wow

I use them all the time, nice quality and quite cheap.
I use Sable blend 401 in sizes 2/0 0 and 1

Not tried 401s Mark. I use series 93s which are fantastic in the smaller sizes. I find that once you get above size 2 though they don’t really hold the point. What is the point and snap like on the 401s? might be worth me trying a couple of those for the larger sizes?

I seem to be ploughing through my tiny weeny brushes (size tiny to weeny) at a great rate of knots. Have ordered some of these to see if it's babness of brush or babness of user.

Badly. I'm afraid my habits from painting and decorating have led me to abuse them, not thinking they're a tad more delicate than a 6" fence creosoter. I leave them stood up in water overnight, rub them vigourously in the plughole, dry them on cardboard, don't put their johnnies back on etc.

It's daft really. One gets all this kit, but half the finish is the painting, and one uses 10-for-a-quid brushes from Wish. Need to give my head a wobble, as the youth say.

I only use size 1-0,0 and 1 in the 401 brushes. They are pretty good overall but develop a tiny curve after a while, it's quite predictable though and I can get months of work from one brush before retiring them to the spares jar

I'm a scruff with my brushes too but I clean them every few days with acetone free nail polish remover ... the stuff from lidl comes in a great no spill container...

Mate, I wouldn’t do that with a six inch masonry brush, let alone a precision tool like we use!!!! Don’t buy expensive ones until you’ve mastered brush care 101 young conkers!! To be honest though, I have a few scrapper brushes that get treated similarly. Not my sables though!

Try ABC Brushes Andy. They are pretty good value. I'm still working my way through a batch I bought at the Cosford show in 2019, 50 brushes for £20.

As I use acrylics I'll be using the palm clean thingy, and not be lazy and clean straight away.

I was converted to these recently after reading a few reviews. i think the reason they are reasonably priced is that they only offer direct sales. When you consider the average shop mark-up is in the region of 40%, selling direct can reduce the price quite a lot.

the few times i have ordered them the service has been excellent.

I'm in the market.......so if I Google Rosemary Brushes it will take me to their website?? And I gather this is the go to brush for Acrylics? As I model in 1-87 scale, probably nothing larger than a #1 for Fig. painting?

Check out You Tube for loads of brush care videos, all you need is a pot of brush cleaner/conditioner and take the time to clean them after each painting session.
Like all good/bad habits, it just takes time and repeating the action to go from bad to good and you will save your brushes from a early grave and ultimately save yourself some money.

I use series 93 spotter brushes for best work, but any of the watercolour sable round ranges will do for figures. Just buy one sharp pointed OO size 93 for fine detail and keep it for that only. Otherwise I would use O or 1 sizes. It’s worth getting a 2 and 4 sized synthetic as well. They are not as sharp pointed, but make base coat work much faster and are hard wearing.

I've tried most always liked the W&N No 7, had excellent service from Rosemary, then found these. To me they are perfection, nice and short. Not cheap but to me well worth the expense. Clean after each use with the brush soap .
