discussion Sanding Sponges

Can anyone recommend cheaper alternative sanding sponges than the ones which are offered for sale on internet modelling sites.


I seem to use the finer ones at a fast rate and its becomming expensive. looked at shops like Wilinson Poundland Halfords etc but cant seem to find any.

I use either the Ultimate sanders (from John's shop) or the Flory sanders.  Both are excellent and Flory have a good mix of various spongers and hard sanders including skinnies.  I find their multi-packs very good value but that, of course, is subjective.

I use the sanding sponges sold to nail technician's I buy them from a wholesalers called Sallys or my Mrs does they range from corse to extremely fine so much so they'll Polish to a mirror shine if needed.
