Here's one for you guys, what do you do with your old, unwanted/ damaged models?

I have half a dozen 1:24 bburago metal cars I built when I was younger that don't have a place in my room anymore, It seems like such a waste just to chuck them away, aswell as being a little environmentally unsavvy.

But they can't be sold, so what do you find yourselves doing?

Maybe I'm being too sentimental over the fact I built them as a kid..

I'm brutal! I will try and save bits that I can remove for the spares box, particularly canopies, aerials, sometimes wheels, then I smash 'em up and stick them in the bin.

Cheers

Dump them at a local recycling centre scrap metal skip?

Donate them to charity shop/friends' children/nephews/cousins if you have any?

Give them to a local playgroup/nursery (sharp edges permitting!)

Are you sure they can't be sold? You'd be amazed at what people will buy from eBay.

Planning on raising a family at some point (if you don't have one already)? My boys love all my old cars/planes/Star Wars toys.

I know I would find it difficult to part with them - there's nothing wrong with a bit of sentimentality!

Save bits that i need then use the rest as target practice for my air rifles lol.... oh and then places the bits in the recycling bins :)

There was a thread on this subject some time ago.I wont repeat what i said as i ended up upsetting a few 'delicate flowers' on here.My serious suggestion is the same as Harriers above.Donate them to a charity shop or give them away to young relatives.

I hate to say it but mine have to go in the bin after a while, I think if we kept every thing we made good or bad our houses would be over run with plastic and resin!

Sadly no younger relatives to give them away to, I'll swing by a charity shop and see if they'll take them, I guess if you take them off the bases they'd make pretty mega toy cars!
