Excellent progress. The scratch & PE work is looking great. I love the fact the etch on some of the brackets also shows the screw heads. Following along

Los
Thanks Los, The Aber etch is good with some detail like the screwheads but the detail is soft in other areas.

Using the instructions from the interior RFM kit I have added a little interior detail. It is not accurate by any stretch of the imagination but just adds a little bit of detail should you look in. I may get some crew members that will pretty much block up the hatches anyway.

Progress is slow but I'm chipping away. Work on the turret includes kit parts, PE and scratched items. The vision blocks on the side can be opened and closed.

I replaced the cast hinges on the turret bin with scratched hinges.

The braces were made from strips of pewter and punched rivets were added to the lifting hooks.

The cupola was a pain but it is done now. It does need a clean up. The armoured vision block covers can be shown open or closed. I have some crew figures on order so I will probably hide all the detail anyway.

You're really putting the whammy-jammy on this modern kit Paul ! I'm surprised, but am ashamed to admit it. Should've counted on you of all model detailers ! :thumb2:

Outstanding work there Paul. Simply outstanding - actual working parts and not just a simple hinge either.

Very well done indeed.

Back in your element I see Paul. All the finery is tops, but maybe the CA fumes are too much for ya. You say you are going to put figures in the turret??? Wouldn't that really sorta cover up all the fine work and time you've invested in it. Just my 2 pfennings worth my friend......She is looking really good though...........
