Scotties Pinky

Paul
Absolutely amazing work as always, you are a master at scratchery and detail. I have the same kit but there is no way that I could compete with the level that you take a model too. Well done!
on a sidenote if I do one day decide to take on pinky I’m definitely painting it ahead of time especially if Mr. Dewire is looking on I think his subliminal messages have already affected me

Sorry, but your cousins across the pond need some clarification on obvious UK armed forces inside jargon.:smiling:

That radio set is looking the dawgs man, Scottie. Lovely work and I still smell bubble gum. :smiling2:

Cheers,
Wabble

Joe, thanks mate, you sell yourself short mate having seen your builds you are more the capable of tweaking any kits.
And the award for most inadvertantly sniggersome thread name does to….?

Fnnnaar!
Rick, if you don't stop sniggering you can go and see matron.

Paul, sorry mate what terms were confusing you and I will try and explain, but your not alone a lot of the civilian community haven't got a clue what we are saying either.

Mark Bits were 1Deutsche Mark coins.
Scaleys and bleeps were nicknames for soldiers in the Royal Signals Regiments.
NAAFI was the Navy Army Air Force Institute our equivalent of the PX.

Hope this has made things a little clearer.

Thanks, it does. The Morse code, & Signals Museum refs should have told me the answer.

I was waiting for the rock apes to get a mention!!

Very nice Paul, I'm especially drawn to that copper phone cable and unit. :thumb2::thumb2::thumb2::thumb2::thumb2:

Steve, Brylcream used to have a factory here in Dayton. I remember the commercials but never used it.
Andy, I think those were the other terms I was searching. Having to do those Brits who fly.
Doug, I assume "rock apes" are infantry?

.... HA!! Guys... There was a reason I didn't mention the Rock Apes ...

They're wannabe Infantry but failed the candle-eating entry exam for the Marines! Basically security guards but they look nice!
