Here’s a 1/12th scale Masher Dray, made from the drawings of J.E.Bishop, published in the Coachbuilder & Wheelwright, April, 1908.

Fully Scratchbuilt, once again.

I do not know where the name MASHER DRAY came from as it’s just a Spring Cart, but that’s the name on the drawing, so I will call it as it’s been named by the person who made the drawing.

Used Tasmanian Myrtle for the timber work and brass for all the painted steel work.
Steel used for the tyres, just turned them to the required size and pushed the tyres onto the wheels.

The Spindles on the sides and rear of the model are sewing pins with small glass beads Super Glued to them, I trimmed the bottom of all the pins so they would all look the same height.

Saw another Spring Cart painted up similar to the art work I applied to the Masher Dray, so just copied a lot of that art work and stuck it onto the Masher Dray.

Pin striping done with CorelDraw and an ALPS MD 5500 printer.

First the drawing I used to make the model, followed by a few photo's ----
