Scale Model Shop

Scud B

It is, but that gives you decals that go all the way to the edge of the paper, making them harder to position, or if you only cut partway through, a decal surrounded by a bit of transparency that will come off together with it. Also, you need to make the die to cut it with, which adds to the cost.

For the die to cut these instrument decals, I used my punch and die set, positioned the decal so that it lined up under the clear part and then punched the decal out... and the decal fitted just right inside the raised edge of the dial.
On these decals the surrounding 'silver' part was so big you could have peeled of the decal after it had dried - well oversize.

There's something about big-wheeled Soviet trucks, WOW - what an awesome subject!

Just read back from the start of the thread Mike, superb stuff thus far. Really glad you've picked this up again (not that I saw it before obviously, but it's great to see this subject being built).
